About this survey
The European Vocational Teacher Survey
The European Centre for the Development of Vocational Training (Cedefop) is conducting the European Vocational Teacher Survey (EVTS) from October 2025 to June 2026. In cooperation with the independent research agency Verian and their national partner(s), Cedefop will survey initial vocational education and training (IVET) teachers in 23 participating Member States of the European Union to collect reliable, new evidence that will help shape national and European policies to improve continuous learning opportunities for teachers in initial VET schools. By participating in the EVTS, your voice will join that of over 14,000 VET teachers across Europe who will be contributing to this vital research. Taking part is entirely voluntary and you will not need any special knowledge to answer the questions. In addition to your vital role to this important cross-EU research, and as a token of our appreciation for completing the survey, you will receive a thank you letter and a personalised certificate of participation, signed by Cedefop, that serve as a testament of your contribution. Your school will also receive a monetary incentive of which can be used to purchase equipment or to be donated to a charity. Furthermore, you will be invited to online events organised by Cedefop, where both EU and national-level results of the survey will be disseminated. These may provide you with an opportunity to engage with VET teachers and other practitioners from across the EU and your country.
